Research enquiries are most useful when they state the question, the institution, the intended design and the timeline. Media enquiries are most useful when they state the outlet, the format, the deadline and the angle. If a study would touch an Edney Learn instrument or dataset, say so.

A useful enquiry usually says who you are, what the occasion or question is, roughly when, and anything that would help a considered reply. For speaking, the audience and the outcome you want matter more than the topic.
